Cleaning Up a Red Wine Stain

See this content in the original post

Hi everyone, Tim here from Chasing Pristine with another tip while home cleaning

First, using a cloth, gently blot the stain to absorb as much of the liquid as possible. Take care to not rub the stain as this can cause it to spread. Then, mix 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid in 2 cups of warm water and dip a clean white cloth into the mixture. Blot the stained area with the cloth to lift the remaining stain from the fabric. Rinse the area with cold water, blot again with a clean cloth and repeat as needed until all traces of the stain are gone.

Allow the area to air-dry before laundering as usual. If the stain persists, mix 1 tablespoon of white vinegar with 2 cups of cold water and pour the mixture onto the stain. Blot with a clean cloth until the stain starts to lift. Rinse with cold water and blot dry again. Allow to air-dry completely before laundering again.

If the stain is still visible after laundering, repeat the steps until the stain is gone. If the stain still persists, mix 1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide with 1 cup of cold water. Pour the mixture onto the stain and allow it to sit for 10-15 minutes. Blot the area with a clean cloth until the stain is no longer visible and rinse with cold water. Allow to air-dry before laundering one last time. If the stain is still visible, repeat the steps until the stain has been completely removed.
