How to Clean a Painted Desk

Hi everyone, Tim here from Chasing Pristine with another tip while home cleaning

1. Start by wiping down the desk with a soft, damp cloth to remove any surface dust.

2. Make a solution of mild dish soap and warm water. Dip a sponge into the solution and gently wipe the entire surface of the desk.

3. Rinse the sponge in clear warm water and wipe off any remaining soap residue.

4. Dry the desk with a clean, lint-free cloth. Pay particular attention to any corners or detailed areas of the desk.

5. For tougher stains or dirt, combine equal parts of white vinegar and warm water in a spray bottle. Spray the solution onto areas that need extra attention and wipe with the damp sponge or cloth.

6. For any stubborn areas, combine baking soda and water to make a paste. Spread the paste onto the stained area and gently scrub using a soft cloth or brush. Rinse off with warm water and dry with a cloth.

7. To protect the painted surface of your desk, apply a coat of wax over top. Use a clean cloth to buff the wax into the desk in smooth circular motions for an even application.

We hope this has helped
