How to Clean a Window Screen

See this content in the original post

Hi everyone, Tim here from Chasing Pristine with another tip while home cleaning

1. Begin by removing the window screen from the window. Some window screens can simply be lifted out while others require a screwdriver.

2. Take the screen outside and lay it flat on a clean surface or the ground.

3. Hose down the screen with a garden hose or a pressure washer to remove dirt, dust, and other debris.

4. Dip a soft bristled brush into a bucket of warm, soapy water and use it to scrub the dirt and grime from the surface of the window screen. Make sure to get in all of the crevices and along the edges where dirt is likely to gather.

5. Rinse off the soapy residue with a garden hose or pressure washer and allow the screen to air dry.

6. If there is still residue or dirt on the window screen after hosing it down, use a specialised window cleaner for screens to remove it.

7. Once the window screen is clean and dry, re-install it back into its original spot in your window frame.
