How To Clean Air Conditioner Filters

See this content in the original post

Hi everyone, Tim here from Chasing Pristine with another tip while home cleaning

1. Start by turning off the power to the air conditioner. If it is a window unit, unplug it from the wall outlet.

2. Remove or lift the front panel of the air conditioner. This should be easily accessible by pulling it off from the front or lifting if it is a split system.

3. Pull out the air filter, which may be located at the top, bottom or side of the air conditioner.

4. Wash the filter with a mild detergent and warm water.

5. Once the filter is clean, rinse it with cold water and allow it to air dry completely before replacing it in the air conditioner.

6. Replace the panel, then turn on the power to the air conditioner to resume normal operation.

7. Make sure to check the air conditioner filter regularly. Depending on the location, dust, dirt, and pollen can accumulate quickly. Most filters should be washed at least once a week to keep your air conditioner running efficiently.

We hope this has helped
