How to Clean and Maintain Your Iron

Hi everyone, Tim here from Chasing Pristine with another tip while home cleaning

1. Unplug the iron before cleaning or maintaining it.

2. Wipe away any residual fabric shavings on the sole plate with a damp cloth.

3. Fill the reservoir with distilled water, and then turn the steam setting to the highest setting and allow it to steam for a few minutes. This will help to remove any build-up from the sole plate.

4. Once the steam cycle is complete, turn the setting back to off and allow the iron to cool completely.

5. Wipe down the outside of the iron with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Be sure to avoid getting any moisture on the cord or plug.

6. Use a can of compressed air to blow off lint and dust from inside the vents of the iron in order to prevent overheating problems.

7. When not in use, store the iron in a cool, dry place. Make sure that the cord is not wrapped too tightly, as this can cause damage to the cord over time.

8. Check the cord periodically for any signs of stress or wear and replace it if necessary.

9. Clean the water reservoir regularly and replace the water with distilled water if necessary.

10. Finally, refer to the user manual for specific instructions regarding cleaning and maintenance of your iron.

We hope this has helped
