Shower Curtain Cleaning Solutions

Hi everyone, Tim here from Chasing Pristine with another tip while home cleaning

1. Remove the shower curtain and place it in the washing machine with a mild laundry detergent. Set the machine to a gentle cycle and use cold water.

2. After washing, hang the curtain back up in the shower or on the washing line to air dry.

3. If you prefer not to wash your shower curtain, use a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water to spray down the curtain. Allow the vinegar mixture to sit for 5-10 minutes, then wipe off with a damp cloth.

4. For more stubborn stains or mildew, mix 1/2 cup baking soda and 1/4 cup hydrogen peroxide with a few drops of liquid dish soap. Create a paste using this mixture, then apply to stained areas and scrub gently using an old toothbrush.

5. Rinse off the paste with a damp cloth and hang the curtain back up to dry.

6. If the shower curtain still smells bad, sprinkle baking soda on it and let it sit for an hour. Vacuum the baking soda off the curtain, and it should have a fresh scent.

7. For a more natural cleaning solution, mix 1 cup of water with 1/4 cup of white vinegar and 10-15 drops of your favourite essential oil. Spray the mixture onto the shower curtain and scrub gently with a sponge. Wipe any residue off with a damp cloth and hang to dry.

We hope this has helped
