What Is The Best Way To Clean Doors

The best way to clean doors depends on the material they are made of. For wooden doors, a microfibre cloth and a mild detergent is best. Start by dampening the cloth with warm water, then add a few drops of the detergent. Gently scrub the door in circular motions, then use a clean cloth to dry off any excess moisture.

For metal and glass doors, you can use a glass cleaner and paper towels or a lint-free cloth. Spray the cleaner directly onto the door or onto the cloth, then wipe away any dust or dirt.

For all types of doors, vacuum dust or other debris from the door frame and tracks.

Once you have vacuumed the door frame and tracks, use a damp cloth to wipe away any remaining debris. You can also use a cleaner designed for wood or metal surfaces depending on the type of door. Allow the cleaner to sit for a few minutes, then wipe it off with clean paper towels or a lint-free cloth. Finally, use a dry cloth to buff the door until it shines.

After cleaning, you can use a wax or polish to further protect the door and keep it looking glossy and new. Apply the wax or polish with a cloth, rubbing it into the surface of the door in circular motions. Allow the wax or polish to dry for several minutes before buffing with a dry, lint-free cloth.
