How to Spot Clean a Varnish Desk

Hi everyone, Tim here from Chasing Pristine with another tip while home cleaning

1. Start by vacuuming the top of the desk with a soft-bristle brush attachment to remove dust, debris, and other particles.

2. Dilute a small amount of mild dishwashing liquid in warm water. Apply the solution to a clean cloth and gently wipe down the surface of the desk.

3. Make a paste of baking soda and water. Apply the paste to a cloth and rub it into any stubborn stains on the desk. Let it sit for several minutes before wiping it away with a damp cloth.

4. Wipe down the entire surface of the desk with a cloth dampened in warm water to remove any soapy residue.

5. Dry the desk thoroughly with a dry cloth to prevent water spots and other damage.

6. Once the desk is completely dry, you may consider using a soft cloth to buff it with a layer of furniture polish. This will help protect the varnish finish and leave it looking shiny and like-new.

We hope this has helped
