How to Clean a Varnish Desk

Hi everyone, Tim here from Chasing Pristine with another tip while home cleaning

1. Start by wiping down the desk with a clean, damp cloth. This will remove any dust, dirt, and debris that is on the desk.

2. Mix a small amount of mild dish soap in a bucket of warm water. Dip a clean cloth or sponge into the soapy water and wring out any excess moisture. Wipe down the entire desk with the damp cloth or sponge, rinsing and wringing out the cloth as it becomes dirty.

3. Once you have finished wiping down the desk, allow it to air dry completely.

4. If there are areas of the desk that are heavily stained or soiled, such as areas with ink or lipstick stains, mix one-part white vinegar to four parts warm water in a bucket. Dip a cloth into the mixture and wring out any excess liquid before applying it to the stained areas of the desk. Scrub lightly to remove any stubborn stains and then rinse the area with clear water before allowing it to air dry.

5. Once the desk is completely dry, use a soft-bristled brush to gently scrub away any residue from the cleaning solutions.

We hope this has helped
